A nurse and a firefighter go on a blind date (true story!)... fast forward three years later to this beautiful private San Francisco City Hall wedding. This wedding encompasses the intimacy that we love about City Hall weddings.

Lindsay and Andrew adore the outdoors and love to spend their time hiking. They even got engaged during one of their hikes. Although a "hike" is simplifying things. We'll let Lindsay tell this part of the story:

"We had a big trip planned with our closest friends to hike Antelope Canyon, which had always been a dream of mine. We traveled for several days, hiking Angel's Landing in Arizona, SUP in lower Antelope Canyon, boating on Lake Powell, and ended with the hike through lower Antelope Canyon where Andrew proposed. Even though you often hear people say it, I truly was not expecting to get engaged on this trip. Antelope Canyon's beauty is truly unmatched, and those memories will last us a lifetime."

From there, they set their wedding date and were married just one month later! Since it was such short notice, much of their family was unable to attend which made their wedding much more intimate with those closest to them. Local family was able to be a part of the wedding, along with very close friends including Andrew's Hayward Fire Department Academy group. Even more special was that Lindsay's uncle, who had been her father's best man over thirty years ago, acted as their officiant on this special day.

How would Lindsay describe their wedding? "Simple, yet classic. Intimate yet relaxed." That's what we love about San Francisco City Hall weddings. Couples are able to keep their wedding simple while still enjoying the intimacy of the day.

From Lindsay: "Having a smaller guest list of our closest friends and family only helped decrease all the typical wedding nervousness. I remember thinking the morning of my wedding, 'If I literally trip down the aisle I'm not even worried, everyone there knows who I am and loves Andrew and I.' It was really special for me to remember that I was surrounded by so much love and true friendship as often times the day of stress can overcome a lot of brides and grooms. We really just wanted our day to be a party to celebrate with those we love and that is exactly how we remember it."
