How they met

Robyn and Hugh have such an adorable story that we don't even want to edit Robyn's words:

"We went to high school together in San Jose, CA. That was almost 20 years ago now! We went on one date in high school but it wasn't meant to be at that time. Fast forward 14 years or so and we randomly ran into each other at an art show. Hugh had filled out and was exactly my type. He tells me that I was his big crush in high school and he wasn't about to miss another shot. We became friends on FB and started commenting and liking and even occasionally messaging. He finally asked me out but was nervous so he brought his friend Nick (who also went to high school with us) and I brought my friend Meaghan for backup. We met at the Divisadero Art Walk. I remember that it was raining. He was so handsome. I was smitten. We were basically together from that night on. Under all that good lookin', was a kind, sweet, hilarious, charming, principled, loyal, good man. And I'm the luckiest lady that I get to share my life with him."

How sweet is that?!

Their Memorable San Francisco Wedding

When wedding decisions came, choosing San Francisco City Hall was a simple one.  It's simply so beautiful and affordable! They were surrounded by those closest to them during their public ceremony (AKA civil ceremony), which was followed up with photos around City Hall itself and our stunning city of San Francisco.  One of the locations we ventured to within SF was Pier 7 since Robyn and Hugh love the water.

Since they lived half a block from Harris' Restaurant in Russian Hill for years, their choice for a reception venue was also simple. It had become their special place over the years for anniversaries, birthdays, and other special occasions. It made sense to celebrate another milestone together there.

Photographer Love

Back to Robyn, because we just have to quote what she said about us: "Oscar at Red Eye Collection really made our day. He was so confident and cool. Hugh and I were nervous and worried we were doing everything wrong but Oscar quickly made us feel at ease. It was so clear that he knew exactly what he was doing that we were able to relax and just let go of that stress. We weren't worried at all - we knew he was capturing exactly what we (didn't know) we wanted. And he really did. And then some."

Thank you, Robyn for your kind words, and for sharing your perfectly romantic story with us! We feel so honored for being allowed to share your special day with you and Hugh. Congratulations to you both!
