This wedding was several months ago, and taking a fresh look at these amazing photos is bringing back all the warm and fuzzies! It really was a perfect wedding from beginning to end. What really sealed it for us was the venue: Hollins House.

Hollins House for Santa Cruz Weddings
Hollins House in Santa Cruz is hard to beat. It has everything you could want in a wedding venue, with both outdoor and indoor options. Since the weather was perfect on this Sunday in September, Ashley and Collin's ceremony was outside under the gazebo, followed by a fun reception inside.
They chose this location primarily due to Ashley's lifelong love for Santa Cruz and the memories she's made there. Ashley and Collin told us: "When we saw the Hollins House, it really checked all the boxes for us in terms of the setting with the beautiful redwood trees and trellis adorned with wisteria vines, the panoramic view of the California coast in the distance, and the overall old-world vibe that the venue had to offer."
We are fortunate enough to have Ashley and Collin give us more details about their lives together. Thank you both for the opportunity to photograph your special day at this beautiful Santa Cruz venue.
Their Story
Ashley and Collin met while in Cabo San Lucas. Since they both love to travel, it seems like fate that they would meet so far away from home. Ashley was in Cabo for a bachelorette party while Collin was there for a bachelor party. Their individual groups ran into each other at three separate locations during that trip, and at the third location Collin finally worked up the nerve to start a conversation with Ashley. They were immediately drawn to one another.
At the time they met, Collin was living in Australia. Like Collin, Ashley loved to travel and had always wanted to visit. So Ashley flew out to Australia to visit and they had a wonderful time growing their new relationship.
Eventually, they decided to pursue their love for travel as a couple. They quit their jobs and traveled together for the next six months. Then they decided to settle down in the Bay Area to start their lives together.
A couple years later, Collin proposed to Ashley in Carmel as they walked on the beach one morning. Ashley didn't say yes - she said "ABSOLUTELY!!!"
They eagerly scheduled their wedding date in 2020, so you can probably guess what happened next. They unfortunately had to postpone. They ended up postponing two more times after that, but finally they were able to tie the knot in September 2021. They have no regrets and know that everything worked out the way it was meant to, and they ended up with an absolutely perfect wedding from beginning to end.
Their First Look
We love a cute first look, and Ashley and Collin nailed it!

Live Music
They had a harpist during the ceremony and a band during the reception. Ashley and Collin said that the band, Pop Rebels, were "INCREDIBLE" and "kept the party going!"
