Dennis & Rudy’s Casa Real Wedding

Dennis and Rudy’s wedding at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery was an elegant and heartfelt celebration, and I had the privilege of capturing every moment. From our first conversation about their venue choice to their stunning wedding day, it was clear that these two had a vision that balanced sophistication with deeply personal touches.

Finding the Perfect Venue

When Dennis and Rudy first reached out to me, they were still exploring venues. Knowing their style and love for grand, elegant spaces, I suggested Casa Real in Pleasanton. They took one look and instantly fell in love. The chandeliers, the expansive ballroom, and the rich, warm tones of the venue sealed the deal. Plus, its proximity to family made it the ideal choice.

A Carefully Curated Wedding Day

Dennis and Rudy planned every detail with intention, ensuring their wedding reflected their style and values. They chose the Residence Inn by Marriott for its convenience, allowing guests to stay close to the venue while enjoying nearby shopping and dining.

Their vendor selections were just as thoughtful. For videography, they went with Jkapture Studios, a team that had already beautifully documented weddings for some of their family members. Their highlight video was delivered quickly, allowing them to relive the magic of their day almost immediately.

Ace Entertainment, with DJ Robert Tinoco (one of our recommended vendors!) kept the energy flowing all night. One of their favorite features was an app that allowed them to pre-select songs for key moments throughout the day. It made for a seamless and personal soundtrack to their wedding.

Events by Young provided stunning floral arrangements, perfectly complementing their unique succulent theme. From the ceremony to the reception and even their wedding cake, the floral touches tied everything together beautifully. Speaking of the cake—Delicieuse Princesse Bakery created a breathtaking three-tiered masterpiece infused with Asian flavors that the couple adored.

To enhance the already gorgeous Casa Real space, Fantasy Sound Event Services provided lighting and a statement chandelier that added just the right amount of drama and romance. Standard Event Rentals, one of the venue’s preferred vendors, supplied specialty linens and elegant chargers, bringing the final details of their décor to life.

As if that weren’t enough, they made sure to treat their guests with extra desserts from CA Bakehouse in San Jose. Their attention to detail ensured that no one left without indulging in something sweet.

A Love Story Rooted in Friendship

Dennis and Rudy’s love story is one of those modern romances with a perfect twist. They met through a mutual friend, and while they knew of each other for a while, it wasn’t until later that they truly connected. The pandemic brought them closer, and they bought a house together before later getting engaged.

Dennis planned the proposal meticulously. Under the guise of a birthday dinner, he took Rudy to San Francisco for a special night out. Before dinner, they strolled through the Palace of Fine Arts, where I was secretly waiting with my camera to capture the big moment. Rudy was completely surprised, and the photos from that evening became some of their most cherished memories. They even used those engagement shots for their wedding invitations, tying their journey together beautifully.

Wedding Day Highlights

One of my favorite parts of photographing Dennis and Rudy’s wedding was seeing how well they balanced sophistication with warmth. From the moment they got ready, they were surrounded by love and excitement. The ceremony itself was filled with heartfelt moments, and their vows brought more than a few tears.

Three men are at an outdoor event. Dennis holds a microphone and faces Rudy, a smiling man in a suit with a bow tie, while another man stands beside them, grinning.

After the ceremony, we took advantage of the stunning grounds at Casa Real for portraits. The way the golden light hit the vineyard was nothing short of magical. And then there was the reception—an evening filled with laughter, incredible speeches, and nonstop dancing. Their friend Charlie gave one of the most entertaining toasts I’ve ever witnessed. Dennis and Rudy told me afterward that they had rewatched the speech countless times because it was just that good.

One detail that stood out was how well their guests adhered to the dress code. Nearly everyone wore light colors as suggested, which made for absolutely stunning group photos. It’s small details like these that truly elevate the visual storytelling of a wedding.

The Perfect Ending to a Perfect Day

Looking back, Dennis and Rudy’s wedding was everything they hoped for and more. The staff at Casa Real made sure every detail was executed flawlessly, and their carefully chosen vendors brought their vision to life. It was a day filled with elegance, love, and pure joy.

For me, capturing weddings like this is why I do what I do. Dennis and Rudy’s love story, from our first consultation to their engagement session and finally their wedding day, was a beautiful journey to document. Their trust in me to capture these moments means everything, and I can’t wait to see where their future takes them.
