The luxurious winery estate at the Palm Event Center in Pleasanton provided the perfect backdrop for Judy and Ha's dream wedding. With its stunning space, iconic palm tree entrance, and ample parking, the venue captured their hearts from the moment they stepped foot on its grounds.
A Proposal Worth The Wait
Ha always knew that he wanted to propose while traveling. So, he planned to propose during an upcoming trip to Japan in May 2020, but it was thwarted by the pandemic. However, an opportunity arose in September 2021 during a trip to Hawaii. With the help of Judy's best friends, Kevin and Joe, Ha planned a surprise proposal at Waimea Falls. It seemed perfect due to its seclusion and beauty.
But when they arrived at the North Shore, Waimea Falls was closed. Ha needed to do some quick thinking and come up with an alternative. Fortunately, Kevin helped keep them in that area for the day, feigning confidence that they knew the perfect spot to watch the sunset.
Can you imagine a more beautiful spot for photos than during a sunset in Hawaii? So Judy didn't suspect a thing when three cameras were pointed at the two of them. All Judy could say was, "Why are there 3 cameras? Which one am I looking at?!" In that moment, Ha turned to Judy and told her how much he loved her. Judy instantly realized what was happening, broke into tears and said yes!
The day ended perfectly with a breathtaking sunset proposal in North Shore that left Judy in tears of joy.
Choosing Vendors
Judy and Ha chose Josh of Dreambook Productions as their videographer for his impeccable attention to detail and years of experience, having followed his work since high school. Janene's Bridal was the perfect choice for Judy's wedding gown, offering a wide selection of beautiful dresses at various price points. Artificial flowers were supplied by @ldesigning_sum and wedding bouquet from @events_by_the_bay, with both vendors showcasing their exceptional work and ease of collaboration at previous weddings Judy and Ha had attended.
Hair and makeup came courtesy of @beautybymelaniep, and Red Eye Collection recommended Rob at Ace Entertainment to provide memorable music and photo booth services to elevate the wedding experience. Le's Kitchen Catering, another referral, impressed with their delicious food and exceptional service, while @ilovebrulee, @simplymochi, and a sour candy bar stood in for the traditional wedding cake - Judy's support for small businesses was showcased through the unique dessert selection, offering guests a variety of flavors to enjoy.
As for the venue itself, Judy told us that they chose Palm Event Center "due to its beautiful space, iconic palm tree entrance, easy parking, and most importantly, we truly could envision ourselves getting married here in front of our family and friends."
Oscar to the Rescue!
As Judy prepared in the bridal suite, she overheard Oscar (lead photographer of Red Eye Collection) and her wedding coordinator discussing the delay of her wedding bouquet. Oscar made it clear to not disturb the bride with this news, and hearing this reassured Judy that she made a great choice for her wedding photographer.
Oscar's professionalism and calm demeanor highlighted his years of experience and dedication to ensuring a stress-free day for the couple. We understand how important it is for vendors to collaborate to make your perfect day run smoothly, so we were happy to take charge for a moment and keep things moving!
A Celebration to Remember
Judy and Ha's wedding at the Palm Event Center was a celebration of love, surrounded by family, friends, and vendors who became part of their journey. From the stunning venue to the carefully selected vendors, every detail was thoughtfully chosen to create a day filled with love, joy, and unforgettable memories.
Photographing Palm Event Center Weddings for More than a Decade
We found a wedding here on our blog that we posted a decade ago! This was a wedding photographed in 2014, a full 10 years ago. It's so fun to see how our work has evolved over the years. -->2014 Palm Event Center wedding.
